The Ohio Turnpike's Disabled Vehicle Service operators provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week to keep customers moving and to remove disabled or wrecked commercial vehicles from the side of the road. We recently captured one of the heavy duty rotator-type tow trucks in action owned by Rich's Towing, an Ohio Turnpike provider.
This video is a brief history of the original UHF TV Channel 61 in Northern Ohio. This version has a correction edit as a result of a correspondence from one of the original engineers from the station. (Thank you) Also, there was an accidental omission regarding the number and locations of Kaiser Stations, at the time there was a Kaiser Station in Los Angels along with the others listed. Also note that out of professional respect, no Ghoul content was used as that material may be (I assume), copyrighted by Ron Sweed, and still in his ownership. Yet, for the fans of that TV era, Please enjoy.

December 21 I went to Columbus with my friend & colleague Kalyssa and her brother Trey. We visited the OSU campus, went to the mall and drove through downtown and saw the pretty lights. I loved this little trip but I was pretty disappointed with Ohio State's campus - to me it felt unwelcoming and unpleasant. It didn't make me want to go to school there. Oregon, on the other hand, feels so much like home, very friendly, welcoming and cozy. But you guys decide - which campus is better and why? Yesterday I launched my personal website - make sure to check it out - http://stacyyurishcheva.wix.com/stacy. A "How-to" Travel on Campus Guide intended for incoming freshmen at The Ohio State University. Different topics include distracted walking, large groups and loud conversations in public areas, crosswalk safety, and how to bike on campus. We base all of our conclusions on Ohio Law and/or OSU student preference uncovered in an anonymous survey we conducted. We hope you enjoy the video and will pass it on to incoming freshmen to make them less freshman-y! :) Thanks for watching! This video was created by Katie Monaghan, Logan Payne, Jessica Pax, Jeremiah Lawson, and Gentry Auburn for their Writing for Public Discourse project in ENGR2367 class at The Ohio State University spring semester 2014. **Disclaimer: I do not own any of the music in this video and I have no intention to violate...
During the filming for this I went exploring all over the different areas of Columbus Ohio with my camera and recorded some of the really interesting things that it had to offer or I happen to see. I filmed at places such as OSU Stadium to skyline shots, hidden street art and certain events held in the city while filming for this so you will recognize certain things but there may be some places and stuff you wont. Just keep in mind nothing was scripted and its all located in Columbus so keep your eyes open and enjoy. For more Columbus content and videos you can also check out the series I started on called Unique Views From The Bus. There are two different types of those videos as well and they both focus on different angles and cool stuff around the city also. So if you enjoyed this then...

Jeff from Apex CDL Institute demonstrates how to perform a proper pre-trip inspection on a Class A tractor trailer. Remember, your states examiners might require a slightly different procedure. The process we use is good for both Kansas and Missouri and will pass easily in most states. ***This video is for demonstration purposes only. Apex CDL Institute makes no claim that the techniques, nomenclature or methodology of conducting a Pre-Trip Exam will work in your specific state. All state requirements are different.*** Any further education or clarification is reserved for students of Apex CDL Institute.
Asian Carp, brought over from the far east to aid in cleaning commercial fish ponds in Arkansas. It seemed like a good idea at the time; however, it all went bad when the Mississippi River flooded in the 1970's and they escaped into the wild. Now they are taking over rivers and lakes along the Mississippi, Ohio and connected waters. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is addressing this problem and one possible solution to that problem in this edition of Kentucky Afield TV. ***UPDATE**** Two Rivers Fisheries in Wickliffe, KY is taking a run at the Asian Carp market. With an abundance of Bighead and Silver carp in nearby waterways, the fish market is set to process and sell these fish for consumption. Commercial fishermen have often said if you pay us for the invasive...

The improvement of the SR 57 corridor between the Ohio Turnpike and I-90 in Elyria is a long awaited project to improve safety and reduce congestion in this heavily commercial area. This stretch of SR 57 contains a disorganized cluster of roads and exits and has been said to be a high-crash zone, according to city and Ohio Department of Transportation District 3 officials. This project will modify the existing SR 57 interchange with I-90 in Elyria as well as remove the existing 49th Street bridge over SR 58. SR 57 will be widened to six lanes between the Ohio Turnpike and I-90, and Midway Mall Boulevard will also be widened. The SR 57 and I-90 interchange will be converted to a full diamond interchange with signals

A drive upstream along Ohio highway 23 from where the Scioto River meet the Ohio to the Ohio state capital. The Scioto River (/saɪˈoʊtoʊ/ sy-oh-toh or /saɪˈoʊtə/ sy-oh-tə) is a river in central and southern Ohio more than 231 miles (372 km) in length. It rises in Auglaize County in west central Ohio, flows through Columbus, Ohio, where it collects its largest tributary, the Olentangy River, and meets the Ohio River at Portsmouth. Too small for modern commercial shipping, its primary economic importance is for recreation and drinking water. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scioto_River 0:13 Leaving Portsmouth, Ohio at the Ohio River 1:00-3:10 Through Portsmouth, Ohio 1:45:15 Exiting for downtown Columbus, Ohio The majority of US 23 in Ohio is divided expressway, with the exception of downt...
Around Portsmouth and Ironton US 52 has several freeway or expressway sections. In Portsmouth, US 52 intersects with US 23. At Chesapeake, US 52 crosses the Ohio River into Huntington, West Virginia. The sections of US 52 that follow the Ohio River are known as the Ohio River Scenic Byway, which is part of the National Scenic Byway Project. The section between SR 125 and SR 73 (near Portsmouth) is also designated as Scenic Scioto Heritage Trail. This portion of US 52, along the Ohio between Cincinnati and Huntington, is the only part where it falls in geographical sequence, south of US 50 and north of US 60. US 52 passes by the birthplace of U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant in Point Pleasant, Ohio.

This is what use to be a thriving shopping area in the Dayton, Ohio region located in Trotwood, Ohio until the crime ruined the area and poachers from nearby cities stole all of their business and took advantage of the bad conditions in the city back then. Now many of these buildings face the wrecking ball and are unlikely to ever be redeveloped as commercial property

This Knox county (OH) breeder, Lone Oak Kennel, has a long history of citations (includes many indirects and directs) issued by the USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)! The last inventory count of animals living in this kennel exceeded 100 dogs and puppies! The breeder is currently not licensed by the USDA but does hold a kennel license issued by the county. Bill Amick, Mount Vernon News March 18, 2013 Tom Coleman, Lone Oak's operator (and past owner of Copper Lakes Kennel in Alma, Ga.) provides a case history of the passive enforcement that animal advocates fear under the new Ohio law, SB 130 (Ohio Commercial Dog Breeders Act).
